****************************************************************** * * * P H O T O - ' 8 5 * * * ***************************************************************** For anyone out in the New York, metro area (NY, NJ, CT) who has a genuine interest in professional photography, equipment, and techniques, here is the show for YOU. It's PHOTO-85. It will be at the New York Collessium at 59th street in NYC from Friday, November 22 through Sunday, November 24. The show includes an exhibit floor with equipment from the world's leading professional suppliers like Nikon, Hasselblad, Speedotron, Braun, Chimera, Calumet, etc. There are professional talks and seminars ranging from $25-$50 per session on such subjects as: Building a Portfolio, Food & Still Life Photography, Picking a Stock Agency, Glamour and Editorial Photography, etc..., all given by some of the TOP pro's in the business. In addition there are all the pro's themselves that you have a chance to meet and rub elbows with both at the exhibits and the seminars. There is also some tours of some of the top studios in NY and a gala ball Saturday night. Exhibit admission is $10 at the door but if you can get your hands on this month's issue of Photo District News, there should be a free admission ticket. This is the show for the very serious and potential pro (or free-lance) photographer. *** Note: If you DO go, take your portfolio; all the stock agencies will be their and you can get some pro opinions of your work while your there.
