I'm thinking about buying a Minox 35xx series or Olympus XAx series 35mm camera. I'm looking for the pros and cons of these cameras and would appreciate the facts/opinions/etc. you have about these or any other miniature 35mm cameras. I will summarize to the net if I get sufficient response. I would prefer manual mode but automatic may be suitable if it is flexible enough. What is the quality of the lenses on these cameras compared to (say) a 50mm Nikkor or Canon. I want the quality of Kodachrome slides to be high enough to make 11 by 14 prints, etc. Will I be disappointed? I read somewhere that early XAs had a vignetting problem. Is this still true? Do these miniature cameras have any inherent problems due to size? Thanks much. Keith Rowell P.S. I currently own Nikon 35mm bodies and lenses and Olympus bodies and lenses and am very happy with the Nikon and pretty well pleased with the Olympus stuff. But sometimes I just don't want to lug around that heavy camera bag (and tripod), but still don't want to be completely defenseless when a preternaturally beautiful image presents itself to me. Thanks again to all you fellow lovers of the photographic image.
