I am trying to install 2.9 on a Nissho 1100 which is a PDP-11/84 compatible system. Has anyone installed 2.9 on an 84? Are 84's identical to 11/70's? Any information about 84's or the Nissho board will be appreciated. Thanks, Ron Sheen seismo!unr70!unrvax!ron

The distributed generic Unix should work fine for starters, but there are differences deeper down. Dec supplied us with a list of functional differences between 11/70, 11/44, and the 11X84.
