The job will concentrate on the development of knowledge base acquisition and maintenance tools for a medical expert system. I have also been asked to post the following message: A computer based Protein Identification Resource (PIR) has recently been established with the support of the National Institutes of Health Division of Research Resources. A position will shortly be available for a computer scientist with strong background in the biological sciences, preferably with experience in protein chemistry. The operating environment is VAX/VMS running on an 8 megabyte VAX-11/780, with programming in Fortran and C. Applications in artificial intelligence are planned for the future.
