The DADO project is directed towards design and development of both hardware and software for the parallel execution of artificial intelligence programs, particularly expert systems and logic programming. Job responsibilities for this position will include both the continuation of work on a prototype DADO machine currently under construction, and working towards design of future DADO machines. The machine currently under construction uses Intel 8051 microprocessors, in conjunction with a custom I/O chip designed by the DADO team. Future designs will incorporate more recent processor technology. Applicants should have a Masters in EE and/or extensive experience in hardware design, as well as an interest in parallel architectures.
