[Where there's a will ....................... there's a relative] I'm posting this on behalf of a friend not on the net. He has two questions ...... 1. Amicable (semi-perfect) numbers. Can anybody recommend a good source of info on these ? Specifically, has anybody heard of an algorithm for generating them ? 2. Mathematically, what is a star ? A pint or similar is offered for any helpful contributions, but I'm afraid you'll have to go to Birmingham (UK) to get it. Please mail any replies - I'll summarise to the net if the replies warrant.
