The Intelligent Systems Lab (ISL) of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie-Mellon University is interested in hiring a research programmer to work on a project investigating knowledge-based approaches to scheduling problems. Applicants should have at least a B.S. in Computer Science or a related field; preference will be given to candidates with a Masters degree in Computer Science. Applicants should also have working knowledge of Lisp, a good QPA and a strong desire to contribute to systems using Artificial Intelligence. Preference will be given to applicants familiar with some of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Expert Systems, Graphics, Unix, VMS, SRL, OPS5, and C. Preference will also be given to applicants with previous programming experience. This job will provide excellent exposure to current AI research. This position is full-time and will start October 1, 1985.
