The Intelligent Systems Lab (ISL) of the Robotics Institute at Carnegie-Mellon University is interested in hiring two research programmers to work on a project investigating knowledge-based approaches to scheduling problems. One position requires a B.S. in Computer Science, while the other position requires at least an M.S. in Computer Science. Applicants should have a working knowledge of Lisp, a good QPA and a strong desire to contribute to systems using Artificial Intelligence. Preference will be given to applicants familiar with some of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Expert Systems, Graphics, Unix, VMS, SRL, OPS5, and C. Preference will also be given to applicants with previous programming experience. The Masters level position will be filled by someone who has done a Masters thesis in some area of AI. The Bachelors level position will start immediately. The Masters level position will start in January.
