I have begun to use the 'e' response to 'readnews' lately, and find it very useful for holding articles for later action. For example, if someone asks a question in an article that I might post a followup to, I can use 'e' on that article, go on to the other articles in the newsgroup, and then easily come back to that article with a later invocation of 'readnews'. This is a good way to avoid posting the 47'th response to the same question, for example. However, it seems to me that the 'e' response should be augmented to do what it does now, AND THEN take you on to the next article automatically. Currently, it just leaves you on the same article, and you have to either skip to the next group (with 'N'), or name another article explicitly by number. But with this change, I could easily skip over the article in each 'readnews' session (by typing 'e' each time it came up) until I was ready to deal with it. Likewise, if it were a very long article, I could leave it 'pending' until I know I have a large enough block of time that I won't be interrupted mid-article. Do others use the 'e' response differently, or have any reasons why this wouldn't be a good change? Also, what about 'e-'? Paul Lustgarten Bell Labs - Indian Hill
