Furthermore, I read my news from home at 300 baud sometimes, and at 9600 baud other times. When I am at 300 baud, I have news aliased to "readnews -h" so that I get the short headers, which don't include article numbers. Thus I would like the # to do something like state how many remain to be read, or at least give the present article number.
