[net.news.b] problems with checknews

hansen (01/11/83)

I expected the following to return true/false depending on whether there any
news in the newsgroups net.[a-c].

	checknews q -n net.a net.b net.c

Instead, it checks ALL newsgroups that the user is subscribed to to see if
there is news and exits according to that. So if there is unread news in
net.d, but none in net.[a-c], the above checknews will return true.

Is this a bug? Or aren't the readnews options used at all by checknews, but
just passed on to readnews when the 'e' option is used?
