Periodically (like maybe once a week or so) I run into a readnews
bug which is a little annoying. For no apparent reason, old articles
in a newsgroup, within a usually small range, wil be presented.
My .newsrc will say something like
net.foo 1-1245,1251-1475
so of course readnews will present 1246 through 1250. I can find no
reason for this to be happening, and the missing numbers don't seem
to have any correlation to the numbers in the immediately preceding
or following group in the list. (Needless to say, they are NOT articles
which I have asked readnews to preserve; usually they are many weeks
old. Incidentally, our expire isn't working at the moment and our
news on utcsrgv goes back to the middle of October.)
Any ideas?
