[net.news.b] messages in more-than-one group

jr@taurus.UUCP (Jim R Oldroyd) (01/14/84)

Ok, so we accept that messages posted to "net.xyz,eunet.xyz" will arrive
at non-"eunet" sites because of the feature that must ensure that replies
go to both groups.

Bit silly really.... I still say that the distribution mechanism should
be reworked....

But now another question/suggestion/idea:
How about a mechanism which will only present me with a message
ONCE, even though it's posted to several groups?
I mean, if a message is posted to "net.a,net.b,net.c" and I read all
three groups, it would be nice to only have to plough through
the message once, perhaps merely being reminded of the message
	the second and third times...
