I'm posting to net.sources a new batch news program which is based on
Jim McKie's batchnews but which conform's to USENET 'standard'. This means
it can be received by 'rnews' (which recognises it as batched and passes
it on to the unbatcher), even if it is compacted.
The unbatch program will except batched news in the standard format and
also in Jim McKie's format.
Features include compaction, using whichever compaction program you prefer,
(personally I find 'compress' beats the spots off 'compact') and also the
size of batches can be limited.
Its in 'shar' format, by the way, so use sh to extract.
