Hi, I have noticed that our news systems has been dropping a few articles without any apparent reason. We are running the news system distributed in 4.2BSD with some bug fixes. A look at /usr/lib/news/log reveals that a few articles are received by the news system, they in fact are readable by 'rn' (and presumably readnews, since the files are there), but they are never transmitted to other entries in /usr/lib/news/sys. No message appears in /usr/lib/news/log and the news system continues with the next article. Any hints ? (I know, try 2.10.2, is it fixed in 2.10.2 ? Do people look at "log") Cheers, Dan Ts'o Dept.
