I have some questions about 2.10.3. So far all I know about it is that people running say it's nice; no specifics. My specific questions are: What new features, if any, does it provide in addition to 2.10.2? What new problems, if any, does it introduce? Compared to 2.10.2, is it faster, slower, or about the same (in terms of CPU time)? Is it pretty much finalized, or is it still changing (I see lots of "2.10.3 beta", but no just plain "2.10.3", in "Posting-Version" headers)? Does it prevent the active file from being trashed if rnews runs while expire is updating active? Does it include the Ln (L1, L2, ...) flag for sys files? This feature sends all messages originating within n hops of the sender to the specified host; it's great for improving the connectivity of local areas and should be standard. If you will send your comments, experiences, praises, and gripes to me, I will summarize to the net. Thank you. -- Joe Buck | Entropic Processing, Inc.
