This is thunderstorm season. Are there any seasoned instrument pilots out there who would be willing to share their favorite methods for thunderstorm avoidance in light airplanes without weather radar?

As an instrument student, and an avowed chicked, I'd stay on the ground, or stay VFR. Pete
