Do you have the schematics for the Sigtronic intercom? I have a friend
who has the portable (with the cigarette lighter plug) version and
would like to install a battery, so he can use it in aircraft that lack
(working) cigarette lighters.

If you want to equip a Sigtronics intercom with a self-contained battery,
the easiest way is to buy a female cigarette-lighter plug at an
automotive parts store and wire it up to a battery. You will want
something like two 6V lantern batteries in series. No battery that
fits inside the Sigtronics case is likely to be useful, because
the intercom's current drain will exhaust the batteries in short order.
