The problem of people moving near an airport and then making demands for noise reduction is an old one. I know of two solution that have worked: Zoning: get the area government to zone the area around the airport for non-residential uses. This requires cooperation of the government, and requires that you trust them to maintain their end of the bargain. It is also offensive to some people who see it as just another example of government coercion. Easements: the developer of the airport gets an easement for the flight patterns. This is then written into the property deeds for the areas affected. This requires the developer to put out money (Now) to avoid a future problem. Not too many are that far sighted. Paul
