[net.aviation] HAM Radio in Flight

I've used my 1.5 watt two meter in flight in a C-172 many times and
do notice a nice VOR deflection...probably due more to RF getting into
the indicator than into the receiver. For real jollys with malicious
interference...stand next to someone on a DECWriter II (LA-36) and transmit
on two-meters. You better have him turn the DECwriter off and on to
reset it after you are done or he may blow the stepper motor. However,
regulation wise...I always thought that the pilot was a representative
of the airline .
