I've just been told by my credit union, in response to a query about financing for a sailplane, that they don't make loans for airplanes. Has anyone out there had any better luck, and if so, where and how? One big question I had, which of course didn't get answered, was what percentage of a used plane are most places willing to finance? Anecdotes, suggestions, wild ideas all appreciated. -Randy

Randy, The fellow I bought my sailplane from was willing to finance it privately. With the economy in the state it's in, some owners may be anxious enough about selling to do some creative financing. Mary
