For those in the Chicago area, Channel 11 (WTTW-TV, PBS) is showing a
series about aviation called "Diamonds in the Sky". It is a series made
by the BBC to introduce the public to the operations and consequences of
modern aviation. The first episode, shown last week Thursday at 7 pm CT,
dealt with the mobility afforded by aircraft and the airport culture that
has evolved at all major airports. Next, United Air Lines' operation will
be profiled.
