Campsites are available on a 1st come, 1st serve basis to all EAA
members. You can join for $25. Registration is $7 or $8 per unit per day,
in advance. Early departures can get a refund. Cooking privledges, showers
and porta-potties are included. No electricity or other hookups anywhere.
The best spots are closest to the field and go fast. Large campstores and
a shopping mall are on the grounds, as well as shuttle buses to town areas.
By the way , overnight attendance can run to 50K the first saturday
and daytime attendance the first Sunday can reach 300K at airshow time.
Traffic can be impossible but the EAA and local authorities do a good job.
Bring a bicycle or moped to get around the campground. The display area is
2 miles long from warbirds to ultralight areas; good shoes and a campstool
are the mark of a veteran.
