I use a stereo headphone set with a small 600 ohm to 4 ohm transformer mounted in a 35mm film can to connect to my aircraft audio system. The 4 ohm secondary is necessary since I parallel the two 8 ohm halves of the headphones. This has worked well for me over the years with no adverse attenuation to the aircraft audio system or poor quality audio. I mounted my TELEX 5X5 headset boom mike to the stereo headphones so I don't have to put up with the "plug in the ear" annoyance. Would appreciate it if you could forward this to the newsgroup and I can be contacted by mail to jrt@mitre-bedford...tnx
