[net.aviation] That's incredible

My instrument ground instructor topped the story of the sleeping
pilot with one about someone flying from San Diego to LA in the dark
who got off course. Strange noises and bumpiness; then the engine
quits; air speed indicating zero; no sound of wind. The pilot opens
the door in the pitch dark and reaches down with his foot. He feels
ground. By the sheerest luck, he had flown onto a terraced mountain
and had gotten stopped by bushes before hitting the next terrace.

Less incredible:
Is there anyone on this list who will be flying back from SigGraph
to Boston or Ithaca and would be interested in taking along a
passenger (pvt-sel; starting IFR)? Thanks.
