[net.aviation] Request for flying school information

cfiaime@ihnp4.UUCP (07/16/83)

There are a number of things which a person should look for
in choosing a flight school.
   1. School reputation. A bad reputation is normally
earned, as is a good reputation.
   2. School facilities. A flight instructor who teaches
part-time may be good, but what are the facilities
for ground school and aircraft? (Note: as a part-
time instructor, I use the local Pizza Hut for ground
school, and a local flight school's airplanes)
   3. Are you compatible with your prospective flight
instructor? Remember, a 2-place airplane is a poor
place to be if you don't like the other person in
       the airplane.
   4. How expensive is the school?
   5. How clean is the equipment?
   6. How is the prospective customer treated?
   7. What schedule conflicts exist for aircraft and
       instructors?
If each of these questions are answered to your satisfaction, you
probably have found a good flight school.

Good luck
