Incomplete, second hand news from whatever regional soaring
competition is going on the last few days in the Virginia
area:
The competition director called the longest task ever assigned
in soaring competition - 750 kilometers! The completion rate
was supposed to be very high, someone thought 100%, and the
winning speed was around 120 miles per hour [yes, that is
MILES, not kilometers, per hour].
