I used NOS charts for 3 or 4 years beginning with my initial IFR training.
Then switched to Jep's, when a new employer gave them to me, and used
them for a few years. My startling conclusion.... not much difference.
You might as well get whichever currently has the lowest initial charge.
1) The relative subscription price has changed before and could
again. So that's not a very good criterion.
2) The format of either is acceptable once you get used to it.
Are NOS plates still top bound? I remember this used to be a bit clumsy
in your lap on an approach (not enough of a difference to get excited
about).
