[net.aviation] portable intercoms

Has anyone had experience with the AUDIO COM headsets that
contain a built-in battery-powered intercom.  I am interested
in how long the battery lasts, how much hearing protection the
headset gives, how is the general quality of the product and
where can I find the lowest price.  The lowest price I know of
is $389.50.  I'd also be interested in other reasonably priced,
portable intercoms that people have used.
