I have been considering the purchase of an inexpensive airplane for the purpose of building up experience (the hours that insurance companies like to see). The Piper Tri-Pacer looks like a good candidate as they can be had for less than $10,000. i would like to hear from anyone who has had experience with the Tri-Pacer. Are they dependable (assuming I get one in decent shape)? Are there any idiosycracies I might need to know about? I would like to hear any other recommendations for a first plane and why. I'll save space on the net by telling you up front that I am not interested in C-150's or Tomohawks. I KNOW what kind of abuse they are put through. Thanks in advance. Brian M.
