Still working on paying for my private pilot lessons, I'm wondering how to do on from here. Time I've got, money I do not. The ideal thing would to find someone to pay me to learn instrument flight, twins, etc etc etc and for this I assume that I have to go military. I'm also painfully aware that if I ever want *any* shot at flying something like a F-15 or -16 I have to go full Air Force and graduate top in my class and commit six years to it. I'm not prepared to do that. I also do not want to get stuck flying transports for the Army. Sooooo, what can I do? Before I hit the recruiters, I thought I'd ask you people for some opinions. What sort of programs do Air Force Reserves, Nat'l Guard, Coast Guard and the like provide? What's the training like? What's your commitment? What can you train on? Is there anyone else besides the military that will pay me to fly, or at least allow me to break even, in return for my time one weekend a month? Any and all related comments are welcome.
