[] Folks; I called the United States Air Force Museum (that thing in Dayton) and got the answers to some questions. (513-255-3284) 1) B-36 is named the Peacemaker (can you believe it?) 2) There are two B-29 Superfortress a) "Box Car" the one that dropped the 2nd Bomb on Nagasaki (sp?) (So I got confused.) b) a mock up of the "Command Decision" that you can walk through; you should see the radios. The Command Decision flew the most missions in WW II. 3) The name of the WPABF museum is "The United States Air Force Museum". About the Confederate Air Force. I believe one of the reasons they are located in the South West is that it is close to the "junk yard" where the USAF and others store used planes. This is the source of most of their spare parts. Climate has a lot to do with it. Anyone know the name, I forget. Greg Mandas ittvax!bunker!gmm

The USAF "scrapyard" is Davis-Monthan AFB outside of Tuscon, AZ. In addition to USAF aircraft, they also have US Army aircraft, but I don't know about US Navy models. It's probably a fun place to poke around, if you were so allowed, but I understand you have to watch out for rattlesnakes and assorted critters living in the aircraft nooks and crannies. Will

Davis-Monthan has Navy A/C also. The A1E's that the Air Farce used in Vietnam were bailed from there.
