[net.aviation] HF trancievers for North Atlantic Flights ??

My partners and I are considering a flight from the East Coast
of the USA to Europe and return in an ASEL.   We have been
investigating equipment requirements found the need for an HF
tranciever.  Does any one on the net have any experience with
this equipment, know of sources (purchase new or used or
rental), costs, required frequencies, etc?

Please reply by mail; I will summarize for net if response is
sufficient.
